Jeff White, Founder and CEO. Jeff is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gravy. Prior to founding Gravy, Jeff founded several companies and led them to successful exits. These companies include mySBX (sold to Deltek in 2009) and Blue Canopy (sold to a private investment firm in 2007).
Jeff has over two decades of experience leading successful companies and was awarded the DC Technology Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011. As the Founder of mySBX, Jeff leveraged the latest web and social media technology to build an award-winning platform that grew more 100% year over year. As the Founder of Blue Canopy, Jeff led the company to receive two Inc. 500 awards for being one of the Top 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America, with the lowest growth year being 98%.
Jeff is passionate about building real products for real people and loves to start with a blank canvas (or whiteboard). Jeff strives to never “fall in love” with his creations by balancing them with honest user and customer feedback.
Jeff currently lives outside of Washington, DC with his family and mentors other DC area entrepreneurs.
Victoria Clark, Founder and Chief Creative. Victoria is the Founder and Chief Creative of Gravy. Prior to founding Gravy, Victoria led the digital marketing efforts (and other cool stuff) for several top and emerging brands.
In her 10+ years as a consumer-focused marketer, Victoria’s leveraged the latest web, mobile and social technology to increase brand awareness, user acquisition, engagement, conversions, and revenue for a variety of B2C brands across multiple verticals. She has also worked directly with product development and technology teams to optimize and enhance the consumer experience.
Victoria loves to make mistakes and experiment. She is inspired by constant collaboration and likes to surround herself with creative thinkers. You’ll often find her walls, whiteboard or windows covered with ideas from in-house collaboration sessions.
Victoria loves live music, craft beer festivals, and watching the Carolina Panthers, UFC, USMNT.
Carolyn Parent, Founder and Chief Experience Officer. Carolyn is a passionate leader in business development, innovative technology and digital/mobile marketing solutions.
A seasoned entrepreneur and team builder, her work has ranged from small venture backed start-ups through Fortune 500 public companies. Her entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen and boundless energy drive her to helping solve customer’s challenges in new ways.
As Founder and Chief Experience Officer, Carolyn works with leading brands in retail, sports and entertainment to amplify their experiential and event marketing efforts. Carolyn is now at the intersection of consumers having fun with brands optimizing experiential campaigns…her dream job!
Prior to launching Gravy, Carolyn was EVP/GM at Deltek, a leading technology company, where she helped Deltek become the fastest growing company in the software industry and complete a successful IPO.
On weekends she can be found ringside, holding her breath as her daughter jumps horses in equitation competition. She loves poetry and the beach and gets her feet in the sand every chance she gets.
Guy DeCorte, Founder and Chief Technology Officer. Guy is the Chief Technology Officer and a founder of Gravy. Guy has always been drawn to interesting and emerging technology starting with work in distributed, heterogeneous database management systems and later in “systems of systems” for performing and managing modeling systems for complex manpower management. Guy has a passion for delivering quality products to market and his career has encompassed work at several startups as well as large companies.
One of Guy’s current interests is developing technologies to move beyond Machine Learning to “Human Learning for Machines.”
Barry White, Founder and Chief Operating Officer. Barry is a Founder and Chief Operating Office at Gravy and manages the daily operational requirements of a fast growing start-up as well as leading the SMB program. Barry uses his extensive process experience and entrepreneurial background across multiple business objectives. His expertise is leveraged at Gravy with small to medium sized businesses in various retail sectors to improve their brand awareness, customer loyalty and drive to store results.
Prior to Gravy, Barry spent over twenty years in the retail, real estate development and construction industry. At AOL, post 9-11, he led several technology and global security infrastructure projects. A serial entrepreneur, Barry’s success was built on solving difficult problems by developing creative solutions with the most innovative technology.
An avid outdoorsman, the only thing he loves more than nature, is spending time with his family. You can always find him on the sidelines of a sporting event or the edge of a pool cheering on his kids.
Aaron Vance, Chief Sales Officer. Aaron is the Chief Sales Officer and brought his passion for the consumer and growth to Gravy in February 2013. Prior to Gravy, Aaron spent nearly twenty years focused on business development, consumer acquisition and digital marketing for brands such as Patch, Going.com, AOL Local, MapQuest, AOL.com, Bebo, Netscape, CompuServe, and Repair.com. Aaron’s global management experience with major online and offline publishing companies such as NEWAsurion, AOL TimeWarner, and Hanover Direct aligns to his Gravy role in publisher partnership development and consumer acquisition.
Aaron loves spending his free time with his family and is obsessed with lowering his handicap on the golf course.
Jeff Musa, Vice President Mobile Strategy. Jeff is Vice President of Mobile Strategy at Gravy. Jeff provides executive leadership in research and development of new products, helps craft overall strategy, and works with the mobile development team. Leveraging over 20 years of software industry experience as both an executive and developer, he remains passionate about consumer mobile experience and ruminates on topics including machine learning and data analytics.
Jeff previously founded and ran One Moxie Ventures, as well as Cutting Edge Software Inc., whose products included the venerable Quickoffice mobile office productivity suite. Under his leadership, Cutting Edge Software was acquired by NASDAQ listed Mobility Electronics Inc. Earlier in his career, he was a software consultant and lead engineer at CompuTrac. Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and has pursued graduate coursework at The George Washington University and the University of Texas at Dallas.
He enjoys golf, is a self-described automotive junkie, and novice guitar player.
John Barber, Vice President Product & Audience. John is Vice President of Product & Audience at Gravy responsible for user-centric mobile and web product design as well as audience acquisition and engagement. Over the past 10 years John has brought to market successful products and solutions that merge events with online communities to create immersive experiences for millions of users.
Previously John headed product management at INXPO, a VC-backed leader in SaaS online event technology whose global customers include Hilton, Microsoft, Dell, and GAP. John was VP Digitial Strategy at Immersa Marketing, an experiential marketing agency acquired by The Freeman Company. He co-authored the patent application for the first recommendation engine for event content at startup BDMetrics. John also held leadership positions with Monster Worldwide, Portal Software (acquired by Oracle Corp.), and LANNET (acquired by Avaya). John is a member of IAB and the Scrum Alliance. He holds a Masters in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
John loves live music, food and microbrews at street festivals with friends and his chocolate lab Woodrow along for the ride.
